Stained glass in Huntingdonshire: A Field Guide is a new book by Revd. Stephen Day, who is a Church of England Vicar in the Papworth Team Ministry of Ely Diocese.

Stephen took study leave in 2017 to photograph and research the stained glass windows of every parish church throughout Ely Diocese. Concentrating on Huntingdonshire, though making reference to windows further afield, the Guide is a
result of that work and includes windows at St. Mary Magdalene, Brampton.

Lavishly illustrated in full colour, with 35 full-page photographs and many smaller ones, the Guide’s 96 pages take the reader on a journey through the Bible using the
medium of stained glass.

For every scene, the Guide describes the key features being illustrated, and introduces the artists and manufacturers behind the window.

The Guide concludes with a complete list of all the stained glass windows in Huntingdonshire parish churches.

The Guide is priced at £10 and can be bought at the Stained Glass Museum at Ely Cathedral or ordered directly from the author on
(There is an additional charge of £2 per copy to send to a UK address by first class post – waived for orders of 5 copies or more to the same address.)

This Guide will add to the enjoyment of anyone who has ever appreciated the beautiful colour and artistry of a church window, whether in Huntingdonshire or elsewhere!
