I arrived in Grafham as a very new Christian to a congregation of two! 35+ years later my life has been changed by church life in ways very unexpected.

Years ago our congregation had ( apart from PCC) very little to do with running services. Taking the collection and an ocassional reading was about the limit. I was coaxed into taking Evensong and then taking over the toddler group after the Rector left. I did a stint as church warden and was persuaded to start the Flower Festival. Then I became part of the team running the Family Service. Lately I have started a Taize service- without any prompting!

I look back and wonder how it all happened and I see all the many people who have supported and encouraged and helped me grow. They still do.

Church and Me aims to collate the real church experiences of people in our church. You can read more about it and contribute to the project by clicking here.
